Social Responsibility

Socially Responsible Business Practices

At Waysis, we are deeply concerned about the impact of pollution and overpopulation on vulnerable areas of society. The well-being of individuals, both inside and outside our organization, is a top priority. We actively engage in demonstrating and promoting our societal responsibility.

In the Netherlands and Belgium, Waysis plays a key role in improving mobility and maintaining a liveable environment. Our systems optimize traffic flow, parking, and the availability of parking spaces, while contributing to more sustainable use of public space. This not only improves traffic flow but also assists in the development of traffic and parking policies. Paying parking fees also plays an important role in optimizing space usage and contributing to maintaining public order in parking areas, municipalities, and cities.

Waysis is always focused on meeting the needs of our customers and proactively helps design processes efficiently to avoid waste.

Our businesses comply with various certifications, including VCA** 2008, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and were applicable ISAE 3402 Type II. Additionally, For more information about our certifications, visit: Waysis Certifications.

TMC is under the supervision of the Dutch Central Bank as a payment institution, which also promotes a high level of “good Governance” in our Group.

Accredited Learning Company

Waysis consists of a number of operating companies that all, to a greater or lesser extent, implement an active policy in the field of internships and/or are recognized training companies. By providing young people (where possible from lower social positions) with the opportunity to gain practical working experience, we prepare future colleagues. With the expected expansion in the coming years of the service packages in particular, number of internships will certainly increase and our organization will continue to contribute to a society where everyone deserves a chance.

Environment

In addition to the fact that our systems and services contribute to sustainability, we also take significant steps to minimize our own environmental footprint. We operate from a single location in A-Label energy-efficient buildings. For decades, we have actively implemented a waste separation policy. The transition of our fleet started a few years ago and, as of 2023, has been further developed with the addition of hybrid/gasoline, and electric vehicles. Naturally, we encourage employees to use public transport and, when possible, cycle to work.

Our processes ensure the optimal use of people and resources. We also make sustainable choices in product selection (e.g., through "sustainable purchasing" and delivering high quality systems) and material consumption, focusing on reducing the use of raw materials and promoting reuse. Examples include offering exchangeable items, upgrading existing systems instead of fully replacing them, and extending the lifespan of current systems. All our businesses are ISO 14001:2015 certified.

Sustainable Procurement

Following the policies of the government, provinces, municipalities and water boards, Waysis sharpened its policy regarding the sustainable procurement. Waysis not only tries to expand its existing policy in this area, but it also tries to seamlessly integrate supply and demand. The publication of the Dutch "Sustainable Public Procurement Manual" and the "Guide to Social Return purchasing by municipalities" served as the basis for our procurement and CSR policies.

Social Return

The companies within the Waysis group have been collaborating for years with organizations dedicated to supporting individuals with a distance from the labor market. The aim of this collaboration is to help these individuals make valuable contributions to society while experiencing the benefits of being part of the workforce, such as personal growth, social inclusion, and financial independence.

One example of such an organization is Werkom, a labor development and reintegration company in the Zaanstreek region. Werkom connects people and organizations and supports motivated individuals with a bridgeable distance to the labor market to return to work and maintain sustainable employment.

Another example is Ergon, active in the Eindhoven region. Ergon is the implementing organization of the Regional Employment Partnership (GRWRE), a joint arrangement of the municipalities of Eindhoven, Heeze-Leende, Valkenswaard, Veldhoven, and Waalre. Ergon focuses on providing employment opportunities and support to individuals who need extra help to find and keep a job.
