This year, Amsterdam was the stage for a truly special edition of SAIL. The year 2025 marked not one, but three remarkable milestones: the 10th edition of SAIL, the 50th anniversary of the event, and the 750th anniversary of our capital city. A historic occasion that filled the entire city with a festive atmosphere—both along the quays and out on the water. With over 10,000 ships and 2.5 million visitors, SAIL 2025 was a spectacle like no other. From majestic tall ships to historic sailing vessels and modern boats, the parade through the North Sea Canal towards the IJ offered a stunning sight for young and old alike.

At Waysis, we too enjoyed this unique maritime celebration to the fullest. Together with colleagues from Taxameter Centrale, Brickyard, and XPOTS, we set sail from Zaandam towards the heart of SAIL. From our boat, we had a magnificent view of the countless ships on the IJ.

In short: SAIL 2025 was not only a historic highlight for Amsterdam but also an unforgettable day for all Waysis colleagues—an experience we will cherish for a long time to come.
