In collaboration with P1 and under the guidance of Brickyard, the municipality of Tilburg has implemented an innovative, future-oriented enforcement approach. What began with the deployment of two scan cars for parking enforcement and environmental zone monitoring has now evolved into an integrated system that also supports enforcement within the new Zero Emission Urban Logistics Zone (ZES).

As of January 1st, Tilburg actively enforces access to the ZES zone — a key milestone in the transition toward cleaner urban logistics. The shift from environmental zone enforcement to ZES enforcement was completed seamlessly. The scan cars have been fully configured to comply with the latest regulations and align with the city’s evolving mobility strategy.

To further enhance enforcement capabilities, 13 fixed cameras have recently been installed at strategic locations throughout the city. Together with the mobile vehicles, they form a smart, scalable, and robust enforcement network, fully integrated with the central back office. This offers:

Real-time insight into traffic flows and violations

Fully automated processing of data and alerts

Consistent enforcement using both mobile and fixed technologies

The municipality has expressed high satisfaction with the results. The combination of fixed and mobile technology leads to more efficient deployment of enforcement officers, reliable data processing, and maximum enforcement coverage. Less administrative overhead, faster follow-up, and more control over urban mobility.

Together with P1, we continue to invest in solutions that support smart, sustainable, and equitable mobility. Technology and services that not only work today — but are ready for the challenges of tomorrow.

Looking for an integrated solution for enforcement, parking management, or environmental zone access? Feel free to contact us. We’re happy to explore an approach that fits your municipality’s goals.

In partnership with P1 and Brickyard, the City of Tilburg has implemented a future-ready enforcement system combining scan cars and fixed cameras.
