Starting January 1, 2025, various Dutch cities will implement Zero Emission Zones (ZE-zones) to reduce harmful emissions and improve air quality. These zones focus on delivery vans and trucks, which will need to be fully emission-free to access these areas. Brickyard is working closely with municipalities to prepare and enforce this new measure.<\/p>\n

What are ZE-zones and how do they differ from environmental zones?<\/strong><\/p>\n

ZE-zones are designated urban areas where only emission-free vehicles, such as electric or hydrogen-powered vans and trucks, are allowed. Unlike environmental zones, which restrict or prohibit certain polluting vehicles, ZE-zones require full emission-free compliance for vehicles in categories N1, N2, and N3 (RDW).<\/p>\n
